Question:

how much would it cost to carpet 3 bedrooms?

they are all smallish and i guess mid grade carpet

Answer:

Edit : ^^^ He posted first... Lowes is offering a special for carpeting your whole house for $139 Don't know the details but here is the link
You okorder
Check out retail outlets like RC Wiley and home depot. Use Prices per square foot ithat nclude pad and installation . If you want to do three bedrooms why not include the hall as well Measure your rooms to get the square footage legnthx width. You can gestimate from the newspaper. This is the most user friendly way to do it.
If you shop at Lowe's you can get the basic labor for $139. They will charge about a dime or so per square foot to remove and haul away your old pad and carpet. Also, move your own furniture to save on additional charges. Your carpet will cost you starting around $1.28 per square foot if you special-order (best way to get just the right color!), standard padding around 55 cents per square foot. Measure your room's lenth and width, multiply the two measurements to get square footage. Do this for each room, then total them all together. Approximate about ten percent extra for waste. Remember, carpet most commonly comes in 12 foot and 15 foot widths. so if your room is, for example, 10 feet by 9 feet, you would use a 12 ft by 9 ft cut of carpet. If there are going to be seams, for larger rooms, remember that the two pieces of carpet MUST run in the same direction (parallel) and not reversed (turned around and going the other way)! Good luck!
A mid range carpet w/ pad and labor included ( a pad that will carry any warranties) runs about 2 to 2.50$ a s/f. You said your rooms are small so remembering carpet comes in 12 and 15 ft widths measure your rooms and find the s/f. Remember a 10x10 room will need a pc of carpet 12x10 so you ll have to figure 120 s/f not 100 s/f, Any questions e mail me thru me avatar w/ room measurements and I figure what you need GL
