Question:

how much would it cost to put in new camshafts?

I have a 2007 Ford F150 and i was wanting to put in new Ford Racing camshafts and i was wondering roughly how much it would cost to get them installed? I was also wondering what else would i need to have for the engine in able to run the camshafts?

Answer:

A 5.4 liter 2007 Ford F-150 has only one camshaftFord doesn't make racing camshafts for a F-150 pick-upCrower, Comp Cams and Crane doCall their costumer service dept and ask their recommendationsBe very careful what you wish forToo much duration and lift in a pick-up will make the truck run slower! Truck engines are low-rpm torque motorsIf you stick a wild cam in it, your power brakes won't work because of poor intake manifold vacuum, no low-end torque or horsepower, and you can't twist a truck motor because of cheap cast aluminum pistons, weak rods and crankshaft and the motor isn't balanced.

I've done the research, and carbon frames are lighter than steel frames with the same stiffnessSorryThat's why competitive riders use themIf you want to find a way to make yourself feel better about not being able to afford a modern frame, you're going to have to find another way than denying reality.
Al That is why they call it a bike raceThere are other factors besides speedA quality steel frame will be one heck of a lot more comfortable to ride! A good bike rider will be fast on any quality frameI would not hesitate owning or riding a frame made of steelOne of my favorite bikes was in fact a steel frame made by LemondA steel, frame with campy would be a delight t own and rideSoccerref
Assuming both frames are the same weight, the other factors to consider are the gearing and the riderHowever to get a steel frame as light as carbon or aluminum is a big askYou would have to compromise on the strength of the frame by shaving bits off.
