Question:

How much yarn do I need to knit an 8x8 blanket?

I am planning on knitting an 8x8 blanket; simple knit and purl stitches, nothing too crazyHow many pounds of yarn should I purchase?

Answer:

Ok, first off, to get rid of the knotting at the bottom of your hair, you'll need to use condition everyday (if you aren't already)For the frizz, put a little gel in your hairIf you don't put to much, then it won't look like you have gel in your hair, but it will work to tame the frizzFor the no-volume problem, try something like Garnier Fructis volumizing sprayWhen you get out of the show, spray it in your hair and the blow dry your hair upside down(bend over and blow dry your hair)
Go to a professional, if it has any curl to it at all, style it damp, put product in it and leave it alone, the more you play with it the frizzier it getsTake if from someone who has curly hair.
wash and comb, comb before you leave, put gel in.
Find a good hair gel to keep it from being so frizzyI have curly, frizzy hairI wash it, and use conditioner, then put gel all through it (don't blow dry) and scrunch it, and goI never brush it, as that just makes it frizzy againI used to blow dry it, and use hot rollers or a curling iron to try to make it lok a certain way, but it never lasted longI quit fighting it, and let it do what it wants to do, (just taming down the frizz with the gel) and now it is so much easierI don't try to brush out the knot, I just wash it again, and let the conditioner get the knots out for me- much less damaging than trying to pull them out with a comb or brush.
i am thinking you will need something between 80 to 240 yards of yarn
