The new elantra looks nice but I keep reading about their cars falling apart. Mostly worried about what appears to be problematic transmissions. Have owned hondas that never had issues even 13yrs later and not sure if I should switch
no do not need to you can or you can also just use the clutch
Very recent Hyundai are rating well w/ Consumer Reports. Honda still rates #1 there.
I have 2 Hyundai cars and have no problems with engine or transmission. Bought both new and the oldest and first one is a 2003. I did not expect the transmission to last when I bought the car but it still is running strong, engine and transmission. I have found both cars to be good cars and do not expect any more problems with the transmission than any other brand of car.
