I want to buy a couple of ceramic bowls to use for my dog's bowls. I want to paint some designs on the outside but I don't really know how I should go about doing it. Should I buy ceramic paint and then bake it afterwards? Or buy some other kind of paint and use a glaze? I am going to paint on the outside of the bowls and maybe on the inside so I would like it to be non-toxic. I also want it to last.
Paint the outside mostly green, with a tiny bit of white, and the inside watermelon pink. Talk to the people at a craft store, to be sure it will be safe for your dog. The kind you have to bake will be longer lasting.
Hobby shops carry paint that works on ceramics and glass. Very inexpensive and user friendly. Just follow the manufacturers instructions for best results. Have fun.
I paint ceramics often, but unfortunately you can't do it at home (that I know of.?). You need a kiln to process it. Do you have a ceramics-painting store nearby? I go to one and have walked away with butter dishes, coffee mugs, flower vases It's great, you just pick a raw piece, paint it, and they glaze and fire it for you! It's awesome! For my dog, Kodiak, I found this great ceramic dog bowl that included markers that do not wash off of the surface so you can decorate it however you want. :) It's really fun. I bought mine at PetSmart, so you might be able to find it on their website! Good luck!
Take it to a muffler shop and have them to repair the exhaust, and you can determine if that helps ,which I really think it will,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
