I'd contact your local fire department and ask them specifically what brand model they would recommend for home use. I have several extinguishers around the house as well but they all need to be inspected serviced.
Relax. It could be anything. The blank phone calls may be the sales calls. Usually they are computer generated and then connected to agents. 30% of the times it gets disconnected before the agent picks it up. To clear the doubt you can install wireless security cameras in your back yard. They are not very expensive to buy. You don’t need the recording equipment. You can look for the child monitoring cameras. Usually you can buy 2 -3 cameras’ with one monitor. It also has night vision mode. You can put one each in front and back door. Try to put it such a place that it is hard to locate. I am saying wireless because there is no need of installation etc. If there is actually someone stalking . You can report to police.
It was inspected 18 months ago And did anyone check it after that? I have my extinguisher checked every 6 months and I felt like a slacker for not having it done quarterly before now! As with any safety equipment an extinguisher must be properly maintained. I suggest that every 6 months people change the batteries in their smoke alarms, their Carbon monoxide alarms and have their extinguishers checked by a certified technician better safe than sorry!
