Question:

How to add a new electrical outlet to existing wiring?

On the second story of my home i want to add a outlet box to a wall for a new flat screen i want to mountI have access to the attic above and the attic has all the wiring for the rooms that lead to the basementCan i add a new outlet to the wiring in the attic above or will the wire need to be added to the circuit breaker box in the basement ? I want to fish a wire from the attic into the wall were the new outlet will be added for the TVi don't want to rip out the drywall to add the wire so fishing it through the attic down the wall is the best optioni want to add this new outlet to the wiring all ready in the attic can it be donei don't want to add anther breaker to the basement unless its necessary. If you need info on the wiring in the attic i will add some if you ask.

Answer:

I Prefer Labs, and in color it would BlackI have been in a blind or pit all of my life and I can say there has been numerous different breedsI agree with the other guy on chocolates beeing the pretties but they are also more likely to be more hyperI prefer a quite and laid back dog in the blind with me, but that's my opionionGood luck with the Golden Retriever, but how long does it take for this dog to dry out.
My brother had a black lab about 5 years agoPrince was the runt of the litter and turned out to be the biggest dog of the groupWith a little work that Prince was the best bird dog I've ever seenIf you let him out when it was still dark, he'd be right up in the back of the pickup ready to go to the duck blindHe'd sit as still as could be until he heard that gun fire then it was ON!!!! I remember one day we went hunting and didn't see a single birdWe had the hardest time trying to get Prince out of the duck blind:) The dogs have alot of heart and with the right training(TLC.nothing professional) they can make a great retriever and a great friendWhen Prince was almost 3 years old we had to put him down because.get this.he had cancer(I had NO idea dogs could have cancer).
I would have to say a labBut, it's really the preference of the dog ownerI had a chocolate lab that was the smartest/best hunting dog that I've ever seenNow I have a yellow lab that seems to be just as smartHe's in training right now, so next hunting season we'll see how he measures up to the chocolateAll in all, I prefer chocolate labs because they are a better looking dog to me.
We have had Labsby far they have been the easiest to train, they are excellent retreiversWe have also had a Golden Retreiver, He was also a very good retreiver and easy to train. But as far a Duck Hunting dog, My labs are the bestMy yellow lab is the best retreiver we've ever had
With no prior experience you are likely to do more harm than goodI Strongly suggest you have an electrician do thisIt will take them 1-2 hrs where as you will likely spend twice that and in the end have an installation that doesn't meet codeIF you insist on doing this yourself get a DIY wiring book to refer to as you progressLittle details like what size/type of wire/cable can you use? How much wire must extend past the face of the finished wall/box? How much insulation to leave on the romex inside the box? How much insulation to remove from the individual conductors and what size wire nut to use? What kind of box and how to anchor it? How to secure the wires in the attic and how often ie: every ? feetThere's WAY more to a proper and SAFE electrical installation than you knowSorry, but that's the way it isHiring a professional is Money Well Spent! PS: the wires in the attic will not have enough slack in them to make up in one boxYou would have to install 2 boxes and put a jumper between them in order to meet code requirementsOr run the new wire down to an existing receptacle (which is what I would do) but how to fish the wire into an existing box? Easy enough for an experienced individual, not so much for a first timer.
