Go to a university and major in materials engineering. Ceramic engineering is rarely offered as a separate major. There are only 2 ABET-accredited ceramics-only undergrad programs in the US. Alfred University in NY and the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Alfred is very well known in the ceramics industry. You can specialize in ceramics in grad school.
