We are a crucible company located in China. And we would like to buy(export) some quartz sand from the US. We already contacted Unimin but they told us that they are currently out of capacity to supply to new client. Is there any other quartz sand supplier in the US which sells to China so we can contact?
First, feldspars will weather chemically, changing to clay minerals. Quartz is chemically stable at surface and near-surface temperatures and pressures. Second, feldspars exhibit very good cleavage, splitting along the lines of cleavage, thus becoming smaller and smaller particles - which allows chemical weathering to take place more rapidly. Quartz does not have cleavage.
i might think of that this could be categorised as a granite, a minimum of a granitoid (that's a granitic like rock that incorporates some siliceous diorites). All granites have quartz, orthoclase and plagioclase, and especially much continuously biotite mica. have been there flecks of black flat biotites in the rock? If no longer, you're starting to be some thing strange that's great siliceous.
