How to change flat sheet ,stainless steel into gum metal? So can officilay call it Gun Metal:?

Answer:

You don't, you're not a friggin' alchemist.
By their metal corpuses.
I can see how you could make it grey by etching it or fine grinding, but I cannot see how it could be gun metal.
Gun metal is red brass, 88% copper, 10% tin, 2% zinc. Stainless is typically iron, carbon, nickel, and chrome. Unless you can change the atoms in your metal, it is not going to be officially gunmetal. You could paint it, but its not going to be gunmetal.
