Question:

How to clean a cookie sheet?

The question sounds dumb but bear with me lolI recently bought a cookie sheet which I occasionally use to bake stuff(duh)I am in college and share an apartmentAs a result my roommates also use said cookie sheet to bake their fast greasy food and stuffNow, the problem is that they never really clean it after using itNow, the cookie sheet hardly looks like when I bought it a few months agoBefore it was perfectly gray and now it has an assortment of colors varying between brown, black and a little grayI tried using the rough side of the sponge(not very resourceful aren't I :P) but it was only after long times where I saw results(and it was mostly negligible)How do I clean it to at least make it look like it used to?

Answer:

Is it a non stick or aluminum surface? If it is aluminum use oven cleaner .warm it in the oven take it out and spray it .be sure to wear glovesIf it is non stick you need to keep at it with the rough side of the sponge hoping not to kill the coatingDo not soak itBut you can leave a paste of baking soda on it and put it in a plastic bag and tie it till morning then have at it I suggest you wrap it up for them for christmas and buy yourself a new one.caution them to cover it in foil in the future.
Spray the cookie sheet with Pam or other cooking spray.
