Question:

How to clean Iron?

on the bottom of my iron there is some black burn stuff and i need to know how to clean this off?? please answer? this is a clothes iron.

Answer:

First clean out the iron with white vinegar. Fill the water reservoir with the vinegar and use the steam pulse function and let it steam out through the holes. Not only will this clean out the inside of the iron, but it loosens the deposits on the sole plate. Continue to fill the iron and dispense through the steam holes until the vinegar runs clear over a sink. Then while the iron is still hot, take a wad of terry towel thick enough to protect your hands from the heat, dampen one layer of the towel, coat with baking soda and scrub off the remaining deposits. Once all of the burnt deposits are removed, run clear water through the steamer over a sink to clear any baking soda accumulated in the holes.
