No, in many circumstances laptops dont have AV in ports, basically AV out, so that they are able to deliver out video and sound, to view on different units, yet you cant view your units on your computing gadget by using HDMI, except there are specific laptops that im no longer attentive to.
Normally laptop screens can't be used to display anything other than the screen for the laptop. Unless you have a very very unusual laptop you can't use it like a monitor.
