Warmoth, lovingly nicknamed Whoremouth, is the worst music company on the planetThey sell defective items, make up excuses not to honor the warranty, and many professional musicians and professional luthiers refuse to do business with themThe only thing you could do to an existing guitar would be to change the pickups, change the fretboard, change the tuners, change the nut, and change the bridgeYou could also paint it a new colorBut more than that and you might as well make a guitar from scratchIf you want to make a guitar from scratch, you need a woodshop with a lot of toolsIf you buy parts already made, you still have to understand how to measure the neck, fit the the body to the neck, measure the correct distance from the nut to set the bridge, install the tuning machines, the pickups, pots, input jack, etc It's not an easy job and definitely not for anybody who isn't skilled at fine carpentry.
