I want to deep clean my carpets but I can't afford to rent a rug doctor or buy a deep cleaning vacuum. What can I do to make my carpets really clean again?
You can't. A rug doctor is like 30 bucks for a night, not too much if you can save up. But otherwise, there's nothing you can do.
This won't really clean it, but if you sprinkle baking soda over the carpet leave it overnight then vacuum up the next morning the carpet will be deoderized really good.
Unfortunately there is not way to really get wall to wall carpets clean without some kind of extraction machine. I know you said you couldn't afford to rent one. However, if you ask around you may find someone who can lend you one for a weekend - perhaps in exchange for a nice meal, an evening of babysitting or some other gesture of thanks.
