Question:

How to disable sounding car alarm and start ignition without clicker?

I haven‘t used my remote clicker on my car alarm in years. The alarm is off and I don‘t use it. I no longer have the clicker. Tonight, all of a sudden the alarm started sounding right after I had parked it. I‘ve fiddled with the valet switch down below (which I don‘t understand) yet regardless of the switch position - the problem still remains. The alarm continues and I‘m unable to start the car.I have a Ford Explorer.I‘ve tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, yet this didn‘t work. How did this happen, and what do I do to fix it?Thanks.

You cant really disable it but, if it go's off just put the key in the ignition and turn it on this will stop the horn and lights when activated.
Does your Explorer have the number pad on the door? If so, you can enter the code and it will disable the alarm. I am guessing that it does and someone played with the keypad and that's how the alarm got armed (pressing 7-8 and 9-0 at the same time will lock all the doors and arm the alarm). If you don't have the card with the code, it should be located somewhere on your vehicle. You can do a search for the location (had you included the year, I would have looked it up for you).
