Someone has broken into my cadillac escalade (2007) and now the door lock for the drivers side will not lock. So i was wondering how you would fix it so that the door lock will work. Thanks.

I do not believe that it shows a lack of confidence. I think your church assembly is doing the correct preventive maintenance procedure. In the event that the atmosphere becomes so ionized that it requires an electrical discharge, the path of least resistance will always be chosen over any other path. This will cause the discharge to be routed from the Earth up through the lightning rod to the air and then to the ionized water vapor found in the clouds. Most metallic elements are better conductors, they offer less resistance, than wood, clay, or stone. YWK, I urge you not be ashamed that your church is doing this. Its because it is different depending on the fire department using it. When I was working on the fire department, we even changed the rules. Every alarm is a wave of trucks. Some of our alarms had 2 trucks, and others had 4. For the general public and across the board, the important thing is that more alarms means a lot more fire. When I was green and learning everything, they told me they would call another alarm every time they would think, Wholly crap that's a big fire.
