Our dog got into our garbage and took out something with mustard on it and started eating eat on our carpet.
Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!
Use a spray carpet cleaner and soak it up w/carpet cleaner and a towel. Don't rub, blot. Work from the outside in to the middle. Take your time.
Some club soda and a dab of vinegar ut will get it rite out
