Question:

How to make a roller coaster model with househould materials?!?

I need to make a roller coaster model for physics. It has to have at least two hills (uphill) and one loop. The hills seem pretty easy but I'm really having trouble on the loop. I can use pretty much any material. The car (it could be a marble, metal ball, ect) has to make it all through the course without any external force (except for gravity) relying on one initial boost (I could use a spring, a rubber band, I could blow it in, ect.). Help!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!

Answer:

You have to be the flames Trust in the force. Use the force wisely
Fires use oxygen as fuel therefore if you cut off the supply of oxygen with a blanket the fire will stop.
To snuff out any air. fire cant burn without air getting to it. (Something along them lines anyhow)
MikeGolf is correctthere are things we don't know (I do, but can't address them in this forum) however, the resoning is sound. You really cannot compare tactics used in Iraq with those in Afghanistan for two very simple reasons. For one, the political and tribal landscape is vastly different and influence on these can be better addressed by someone like McCrystal. Second, the geography and terrain of Afghanistan lends itslef very readily to small unit tactics more so than to Iraq. Therefore the numbers argument doesn't really hold much water either. Finally, the IED tactic did not fail, it only changed targets somewhat and did not go away. As soon as we stop patrolling the streets of Iraq so much, you will probably see more IED attacks that are successful. In Afghanistan, these tactics work better since there is better terrain coverage and many choke points for attacksnot saying anything that the enemy doesn't already knowwhich is why they already went to that tactic. Add to that the type of MRAP that is needed is different than the ones used in Iraq and you could have the making of a problem. Back to the original question, McCrystal and his tactics are of better use in winning the hearts and minds than standarad infantry tactics which are in use currently. Incidentally, the insurgents know our infantry playbook and are using it against us. Any success we have had in Afghanistan have come from the SOF and SEAL side of the house. Don't mean to step on any infantry toes, but who do you think tipped you? One last thingGates from his own mouth didn't say McKiernan did anything wrong. He just said that McCrystal was probably a better fit for the current situation.
to cut off the supply of air to fire because combustion can't happen without oxygen.
