Question:

how to make a samoyed sweater?

My adult samoyed, Iubito, is shedding again, i have a bag of old fur in my closet that i keep all of the fur that has been shed before and i have noticed that i have so much of it, and its all clean and fluffyI heard on the television that in Alaska and the US they make wool out of this fur and i have thought about trying this idea, it sounds very good to me, but how would i make the underhair into yarn strings? what tools are there for this task and what would be the aproxamate price range and also how may i be able to use this tool? i would also apreciate an image or two:) thank you:)

Answer:

How about talking with him about your concernsIt could be that the house also needs to be weatherproofed and there are some easy fixes he could do - or you could offer to do if he will pay for the boiler tuneup or bigger fixesPerhaps if you lay it all out on the table, you can come to a better solution.
It is certainly possible for you to ask your landlord (or his agent) for repairs to be doneI would imagine that the furnace person would find quite a bit wrong with that old furnaceThe price to repair would be astronomical! The poor heater may very well need to be replacedPlease do ask! If you do not receive adequate repairs or a brand new furnace, you have some places to turnIs there an Apartment Association in your area? They could give adviceIf there is a Project Sentinel or something like that, they can intercede for you with your landlord(Sources like these can usually be found in the very front of your telephone book.) If that furnace stops working completely-and you have received no help- withhold your next month's rent! Warm wishes for you!
I am assuming that your rental agreement has nothing to say or help you with on this.soYou will need to have some proof of thisYour gas bills alone will not sufficeIf you can get a hearter repair company to give you a written statement that the landlord's heater is deficient and causing you to spend X dollars per month more then necessary, then you will have the ability to address the matter 1) Write the landlordGive him the letter and demand a repiar2) No repair? Is there a rental authority in your city? Take it there3) No official venue? You have two possible options a) You can deduct this amount from the rent for each month where the tempertaure has been below a certain level for a certain length of timeObviously you can not deduct it in the summer when the heater is not usedand just as obvious if the outside them is -20 all month you probhad the heater on all the timeSomewhere in between, in the grey area, is the limit line that you need to find b) You can file a small claims action for each month that you spend moneyBut first you must demand that amount from the landlordBUTif it is legally allowable in your areaeither of the above options will likely get you evictedso its a rock and a hard placegood luckmeantime buy some blankets and coatsand plug your electric heater into the landlords socket (grin) .
No, you don't have any right to demand a new furnace to save you moneyIt costs him a lot of money to replace it and saves him, personally, nothingThe best it would do is make it easier to rentBut renters usually don't ask much about heat bills but sometimes find another place if they too highBut it is up to him That said, there are many reasons for high heat costs and an inefficient furnace is only part of it With lower outside temperatures the heat loss multiplesI do mean multiplies not simply increasesThe heat loss through an uncovered single pane window doubles with every 3 degree differenceIf the temperature drops 10 degrees more than normal, that means the heat loss would go up EIGHT times (2x2x2) through that windowWith the recent cold spells as a result everybody is facing rediculously high heating bills Curtains, insulation, set back programmable thermostats, turning it off when not home, keeping air filters clean, keeping drapes closed in unused rooms, and so on all will help with heat lossIt is just not the furnace Good luck.
Make sure you're only keeping the undercoattopcoat is ITCHY when its made into thingsAlsosave it in paper bags as plastic will cause it to deteriorateNext you'll need to find a fiber artist or spinner to teach you how to spinGoogle wool spinningYou can also visit your local yarn shopthey may know someone who spinsThe Samoyed Nat'l (in Topeka, KS this year) usually has several members who spinand quite a few pieces of clothing and spun/knit/crocheted blankets on displayI have a hat and scarfa friend of mine has a sweaterthey are nearly too warm to wearWhen I lived in Minnesota I could only use them at -20 degrees or risk sweatingI save undercoat when I am grooming post bathThat way its already clean and in near-carded conditionMy grandmother had a friend who used to spin itGood luck!! Edit: Wow! Romania! You'll be able to find someone who spins pretty easily thenyou may be able to trade Sam wool for spinning services (that's what I did- half the yarn to me and half to the spinner)Samoyed yarn is softer than angora.
