I have a wireless Linksys router upstairs that I share DSL for 2PCs running W2K pro (wired directly to into the back of the router)Downstairs, I have a wireless Linksys bridge that I connect 1 PC (running XP and connected to a switch which connects to the bridge)Using the bridge is the only I knowto get the PC downstairs to share the DSL without runningcables updown the floorsI tried the wireless NIC but Icould barely get any good reception and so I use the bridgeinstead.Problem is I can never get the downstair PC to talk to the upstair PCsNow I have a wireless laptop that I can sharethe DSL, but it can't talk to any of the other PCs at all.I know a little bit about networking that I set all PCs to thesame network group/ID, assign unique name to each PC,and set permissions etcBut still can't get it work. How do I make my wired PCs and wireless laptop talk to eachother so I can share printers???
Sounds like a firewall issue - I the IP's in the same range? Check to see if the bridge has some sort of firewall - See if you can ping the other machines by IP.
