Question:

how to measure the bottom bracket?

i have a set of shimano saint cranks m800 but idk the size of bottom bracket i need. i know the arm lengths are 170mm but idk what size bb to get. how do i measure the cranks? i found cranks like mine that said 83mm and 73mm and 63mm but idk what ones mine are! i measured the spindle width and it said either 7/8 or 15/16 of an inch. i have a 2007 or 2008 demo II so i think it is a 73mm shell

118mm is the length of the axle true. but it affects the chain line. if it is too big than the group will never shift right and if it is too small then it just wont work shimano has a chart on there webpage that tells what the different sizes should be.
