Well, I am 16 and have been playing guitar for about 6 years. I just found out one of my friends, who has playing piano for about the same amount of time, is now a concert pianist. I still play alone and for myself, while she is doing all of that.I have no idea on how to get started doing this. Any tips? I don't have a drivers license or anything like that, my town/city is small, my church choir already has a keyboard, 4 singers, and a guitar. I do have recording equipment, and record music and post on youtube. So any ideas on how I can do this?
Perform at parties or in front of your friends and they will spread the word for you! Or start playing on the side walk in the city or somewhere haha thats what i would do! Get yourself out there and show your talent and there'll be plenty talk about you soon! Hope I helped!(:
Do you play for your family? Do you play at family gatherings? Its a good way to start. You can also try to connect with other some of those people who play at church and ask them if they would like to get together and play. Even small towns have local events, fundraisers, etc. You can also volunteer to play at local hospitals or nursing homes.
