split ends are inevitable but ways to prevent them are using a heat tamer spray that will protect your hair from the heat ( i use tresemme thermal creations), using damage control shampoo ( nexus promend), using a leave-in conditioner weekl ( pantene intensive restoration treatment), using a ceramic straightener which reduces damage on hair, getting a trim on your hair every six weeks to keep hair from looking damaged (this is usually what the stars do which is why their hair looks so sleek!), and just reducing the use of heat on your hair ( straightener, curling iron, blow dryer, hot water in showers).
