Question:

How well do front loader tumble washers perform over top loader spinners?

I have a front loader tumbler now and it doesnt make any noise at all and it jus sits there and spins haha. My old one was a top load with the cuts in it so it would like massage the clothes with the spinner thing. Is there any difference in the way they clean? which one cleans better, if theres a difference.

Answer:

As far as I know, the difference between two types lies in our thought. Both work same type. If one model has a higher investment cost, it has low maintainance and running cost. On the other hand if we go for lower investment cost, the running cost is a bit higher. In my opinion it is purely psychological.
i have frontloaders, and mine actually does make quite a bit of noise, especially since its on the main floor of our home i notice it. i hear it when its going through all the cycles. i think it works alot better compared to the old top loading ones. i think some were actually designed to be quieter too.
Actually, tumble washers have it all over front loaders. I know it doesn't seem like they do anything, but they clean better, use half the soap and way less water. They tumble the clothes against each other instead of using an agitator to beat up the clothes so they also make your clothes last longer. The only downside is that they cost more, but they are so much more cost efficient it's worth it in the long run.
