Question:

how would i know if 2.0 grams of zinc is enough to react with .6086 g of copper wire?

soo yeaa how would i know if 2.0 grams of zinc is enough to react with .6086 g of copper wire?

Answer:

Copper and zinc don't react since they are two metals and both lose electrons in a reaction. But one has a higher electromotive potential than the other which is how they can be used for electrodes in a crude battery. But to answer your question, you can easily use 2 grams of zinc and do a vapor deposition of zinc onto the copper wire. In fact with vapor deposition of 2 grams of zinc you could probably coat about 100 feet of copper wire or about 300 grams or more of copper
