Question:

how would you find the volume of a silo?

i got 1741.5 m^3 by adding together the volume of a cylinder and the volume of a cone. I asked my friend and he said that the volume was 690 which he found using quot;pi(d^/4)(hci + 1/3(hco)),quot; which one of us is right?

Answer:

it would be the cylinder and half sphere formula
pi*(6.4)^2 * 10.1 + (1 / 3)pi * (6.4)^2 * 10.3 = pi*(6.4)^2 ( 10.1 + (1 / 3)*10.3 )
