I collect old cook books but have just moved and ot all my books are out. I have a book written by Joslin in about 1918 . It puts fruits and veggies in to categories.Veggies such as lettuce, cucumber and celery go into the eat all you want section. Next comes the veggies you have to thrice boil for hours to even eat them.And so on . He makes it clear that there are no medical interventions for diabetes and there will never be any . He claims to think that it all comes down to not eating as the best treatment . I can't find the book you are looking for but thought you'd like to hear about the other .
