I am planning to visit North Korea. What are the major tourist attractions? Any recommendations?
North Korea does not allow tourist visits. You would need to be part or an approved tour group that enters through China. See site below and read under Entry/Exit Requirements.
There should be remaining from an ancient Koran empire called Goguryeo. It has been establish almost 30 years BC and emperor Jumong was the first and the most important king of that empire. He successfully pushed back the Hun Empire of China from Korean territories. The burial place of Emperor Jumong is somewhere in today's North Korea. As I have heard the Emperor Jumong is very important for Koreans and appreciated very much by both north and south Koreans. Once I read in a magazine about a 109 floor hotel in Pyong-Yang. It should be good to see it as well. I have heard non-Korean people will be under a very strict control in North Korea. No idea if it is true but anyway, wish you a nice trip!
