Answer:

Just using a rough guess... you can probably only afford $178K in a mortgage with your yearly income and negative credit. Depending on where you live, I don't know if you can even purchase a home for that (you can't in the Metro area I live in). That could be part of the problem. And, it also depends on what the negative credit is in. If you were on the foreclosed property that definitely would have something to do with it. Otherwise, check the site below and fill in your actual information and see what you can afford.
The only legal way to do it is the old fashioned slow way. Pay all your bills on time. If you have things in collections, call the company and work out a payment plan. If you have items that have been written off, call the company to see if you can come to an payment agreement. Sometimes a company will take partial payment and then remove the item from your credit report. Make sure there are no mistakes on your record. If there are mistakes, get them straightened out. Mostly it will take time. If you have made payments on time for two years and have taken care of paying off past-due accounts etc, your credit will improve. Also, be careful with getting store credit cards and low introductory rate credit cards. These things can trap you into buying things you can't afford and cause you to not be able to meet your expenses through their high interest payments etc. Go to the Library and ask the librarian for books on financial management and budgeting. Learn all you can. Most of the credit counseling services don't do that good of a job. As a matter of fact, many of them have been under investigation for taking money from clients without giving actual service.
hello, okorder and print each one of your credit reports. Then go through them with a fine tooth comb. There are going to be alot of double check account numbers not names and alot of wrong information. It will take u a few days to go through them.
You okorder I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!
apply to a good credit repair company on that has a money back guantee. the one that i use will remove everything except for goverment items like student loans and tax liens. some of the things on your credit may be to old to bother with.If you would like to know of a good company just ask later. If you have a credit score of 580-600 that is call a paper.that means no down payment in most cases.
