i ate too much fiber and now i'm bloated, extremely gassy, constipated, and have horrible cramps and it WILL NOT GO AWAYi already drank TONS of water and some green tea, but everything's the sameis there anything else i can do to make this go away? ):
once you have been on the vet what did she do on your cat? If he's not eating and has a intense temperature then some medicine or diagnostics could have been accomplishedit particularly is unclear that they could purely deliver you and the cat living house without training or something to deliver down the feverIf no longer eating then it particularly is critical at situations to place the cat on IV fluids (in the scientific institution) or provide squarefluids (under the exterior) to deliver down the temperature and then look ahead to some hours or so in the scientific institution to ensure he's okaysomething like that accomplished? examine with the vet lower backyou do not have each and all the advice you opt for.
YES! YES! YES! Take him to the vet ASAPThis is not good there is something wrongYou can insert a mercury thermometer in the the cats behind, not very far at all just until the silver tip is inserted leave in for a minute, but you should take the cat in right away and let the vet examine him, there is nothing you can do for him at home trust me, I don't care what these people tell you they are not vets.
I'm sorry to hear your cat is unwellA higher than normal temperature is a good indicator you should probably see your vetIn the meantime, check the cat's stool if you canIs it unusually soft or hard? Any worms? If the cat is drinking that's a good signAlso check the nose, eyes and earsIf there is any discharge, they may indicate a cold or an infection1) To measure temperature, insert a thermometer in the anus2) Let the cat rest on a comfortable 'snuggable' surface and provide plenty of water3) Try the cat's favorite treats or just some gravyOtherwise, it's OK for a feline not to eat for a day or two, as long as the cat is hydrated4) It sounds like you should see your vet, as I mentioned above.
Ok, first, in response to one of the above answers, too much fiber is NOT badGod, somebody please educate that person! Now, you have to work your way up to a high fiber dietYou should eat about 40 grams of fiber a dayIf you normally only eat 5 grams/day then do not try to increase all the way up to 40 in a day because you will have diarrhea for daysWork your way up, increase your fiber intake 5-10 grams each week and you wont have all these symptomsYour body is just not used to the dramatic increase of fiber right nowIt will pass though, just lay down on your left side (it stretches your intestines in the right way) so the cramping can ease up Fiber is great because it has many cancer preventative properties and so many new studies are being tested nowadays over its benefits :)
to take a cats temperature you need to lubricate the thermometer with petrolium jelly and insert it in the anus about an inch in, very gentlythen procede as you would with that kind of thermometer, and then pull it out and read the tempwhen youre all done, sanitize it with alcoholif your cats temperature is unusually high or low, he should be seen, and even if it isnt, he should be seen if he gets worse or doesn't get betteras an outdoor cat, he may have contracted FeLV or FIV virusthe cat's temperature should be between 101 and 103 F
