I just changed her bedding to Timothy hay but she sames to be eating it. So she is eating all the time with the pellets and fruits or veggies I give her everyday. Is this ok for her to eat her bedding?
I have been told that Timothy hay is for eating. Straw works for bedding, but it can scratch the rabbits skin. I use wood shavings for bedding (they are inside rabbits). If they are outside, you should use straw so that they can snuggle up in it.
Yes. Rabbits should have an unlimited supply of timothy hay to graze on everyday.
Timothy hay is for eating, not bedding, she will not nest with it, try straw, they don't tend to eat it and they will build up a nest, timothy hay should be given everyday as it is part of a healthy staple diet, but shouldn't be used as bedding.
