Ah, well, actually a lake of fire would be impossible. A lake has to have a fluid (otherwise it isn't a lake), and fire can only happen when it combusts when meeting e.g. oxygen. In other words, it could only burn at the surface. So if your suit contains an air supply, or even a flameproof snorkel, then you could happily sink like a stone and avoid the flames. Well, until you have to surface again
