Because i purchased my vehicle like this and i do not want to change it specially because of the cost it will bear on me. Dam cop stopped me just for having my music to loud.
Were you pulled over in California? I believe you pay the fine, and change out hte muffler. If you got state reffed that would be a problem tho because the stations are closed.
Nope. You have to pay the fine and change the muffler or you will get more tickets for the loud exhaust system.
Depending on the exact type of citation, you may not have the option of only paying the fine. You may be required to bring the vehicle in for an inspection to make sure the exhuast is within legal specifications. Also, even if this is NOT that kind of citation, if you get stopped for the same infraction, the subsequent fine may be increased by a heck of a lot. And, with driver's records available to police computers at the touch of a button, the officer on the scene can know about the previous citation within seconds of calling in your plate and license number. What if your state allows law enforcement to IMPOUND your vehicle? As far as the cost of repair being too much for YOU to bear, why don't you man up? YOU bought the car in that condition, the responsibility is yours. If your tires went flat, is that someone else's responsibility? If your head light burns out, is that the seller's fault? If you transmission falls out and litters a few hundred feet of roadway with hot, oily metal, it is STILL your responsibility. But, here's how I read your situation. You don't CARE about the law. You want the privilidges of driving with none of the responsibilities. You don't think it's fair that YOU should pay to have your exhaust system repaired because you purchased the vehicle in that condition. Who made you do that? The cop who stopped you for loud music is damned because he was doing his job of enforcing a law that you decided didn't apply to you. What made you decide that? Take responsibility for your OWN actions. It may be a little inconvenient at time. It may cost you a few bucks, on occasion. In the long run, you'll feel better because you won't be stopped as often. You'll pay less for wear and tear on your car, and, perhaps you'll live longer.
Put another log on the fire, Cook me up some bacon and some beans, Go out to the car and change the tire, Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans. Baby, fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers, Boil me up another pot of tea. Put another log on the fire, girl, Come and tell me why youre leaving me. Dont I let you wash the car on sunday ? Aint I always nice to your kid sister, Dont I take her driving every night ? So sit here at my feet because I like you when youre sweet And you know that it aint feminine to fight. Put another log on the fire, Cook me up some bacon and some beans, Go out to the car and change the tire, Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans. Fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers, Boil me up another pot of tea. Put another log on the fire, woman, Come and tell me why youre leaving me. Yeah, come and tell me why youre leaving me.
