Question:

i had have tubes put in my ears when i was young. Can i still be a military pilot?

Its always been my dream to fly for the military and i didn't know if this disqualifies me. These are the only medical issues i have had.

Answer:

Good okorder /... Cameron, do not be concerned about your past myringotomy. The plastic tubes were put there to PROTECT your hearing from any damage. The plastic tubes should have fallen out by themselves after a few years? Good luck future military pilot. You and your family have a beautiful day. Peace, from Los Angeles.
If the tubes are still there you are not only DQ for aviation, you are DQ for getting in the service at all. If the tubes are there and you have them removed you will have to wait a calendar year until they heal and you prove you have no issues without the tubes. If you have not had them for a long period of time you still have to reveal them and you _may_ qualify.
If the tubes were removed that long ago and you have had no problems since you are probably okay. Just keep in mind that ALL your physical characteristics will be tested before you are allowed to enter a pilot training program. Eyesight, color blindness, altitude responses, spin tests, hearing, etc, etc.
