transmission gasket .-fluid - pan (105$$job) .I cannot repair this week but need to drive 25 miles one way and back tomorro and Saturday Mechanic said that‘s okay to drive it but fix it ASAP as its transmission etc . Im very nervous to drive it---- especially as Its new to me and its nicer car than most cars I buy. I‘ve had 2 cars recently seize on me!!Buick century 1999 it also needs steering pump and coolant hoses/work
Check fluid daily and add when needed, Keep 2 bottles of Dextron III, a funnel and a rag in the trunk. I highly doubt it that it will ever seize up, worse case scenario it'll break down and won't go anywhere until it gets enough fluid in it to function again. Been there done that.
Its fine just once a day just check the fluid level
Common sense should tell you not to drive the car when the coolant hoses are bad. Do you want to add another car to the seized engine list?
