My mother in law got a chair for my baby shower. I had invisioned a regular baby shower chair with a round high back.. instead she brought a beat up old Wicker rocking chair. I don't know how to tell her nicely I don't like the chair and don't want it for my baby shower. She didn't even ask do you like it or of it would be ok at the shower She insisted I'm going to decorate it at the party. I don't want to be rude or sound ungrateful but the thing is hideous. Any suggestions on how to let her down nicely
Just for the shower? If yes - then get over it. You don't plan your own shower Your question seems to imply this is only to be used to show you off at the shower.
a baby shower chair? lol you're only gonna be sitting in it to open gifts right? u aren't taking it home or anything! I didn't even get a special chair for my baby shower!
well I don't know about you but I'd be blunt but if you wanna be nice you have three options 1 is you can throw thing in a dumpster and say you lost it, someone stole it or it broke 2, is you buy a regular chair and say someone got it for you, you bought it or you had spare one in a closet then say you'd much rather use this one and 3 is if you don't want to lie and the thing doesn't look sturdy, and that's to tell her that you don't think it will support anyone's weight.
