Question:

I have a bat infestation in my atticIf I evict them can I still turn attic into a useful room?

We have a bad bat problem in out attic, we know because we watched about 100 of them fly out from under our shingles and chimney the other nightWe bought our house 3 years ago and last year we went up into the attic to see what it was likeThere is 1 1/2 to 2' of loose insulation laying on the floor that had droppings in itI've called a Bat Exterminator and he is going to come out and give us a quote to remove them (may need a new roof to totally get rid of them); however he's really busy and not sure when he can even get to our houseIf we are able to remove the bats and the insulation would it be safe to turn the attic into a usable room?

well, bats are no worse than miceso either than the sanitation issues, and the gross factor, its not the end of the world if there are still bats up there after your turn it into a room what is key on answering this though is besides for bat removal, what kind of work will be done to prevent bat re-infestationbats can get through very small cracksi would recommend having the bat man remove the bats, patch where he thinks they are getting in, and then wait to see if the bats come backif they do, you may need the guy to come back and find where they are still getting inand repeat until they don't get in any longer.
