They need to be reported. They dont deserve to keep their jobs if they are too lazy to even make an effort. Those jobs can go to people that need the money and are willing to work for it.
Hi Mary.. I know around here , there is alot of fire departments that have copies of DVDs to use , in your classrooms for no extra charge They show fire safety, drop roll.. how to escape from a home.. ETC. Also , maybe the local library could assist you in finding some video on things like that. Usually rentals are like 2 bucks. I sure hope this helps More people need to learn about fire safety..
Manufacturers of electric blankets are totally paranoid about product safety. They don't want even the very remote possibility that their product would hurt someone by being run at full power all night, or even possibly start a fire. If you use an electric blanket under a stack of other blankets, a quilt, a down comforter, etc., the heat is trapped and could build up. So they build in a number of safety factors. There's some sort of thermal sensor that will shut the blanket down if it gets over a certain temperature. And there's a timer that will shut off the blanket after x amount of time, just in case. Underwriters Labs and other safety-testing operations test these products. They defeat the safety features and try to see if they can get the blanket to get so hot it would hurt someone, or to catch fire. You need to do testing like this to put something on the market! EVERY product in the US is subject to rulings by the CPSC, the Consumer Product Safety Commissionexcept (paradoxically) firearms!
