I was just wondering what i can and can't eat.
This is why, for me, dogs and especially puppies in apartments are not a good idea - difficult at best - unless its a ground floor apartment, with access to a private area outsideTeaching a dog to use your balcony is just unhygienic and me too would hate to live with your above my balcony.
Bloating/gas symptoms can be caused by food allergies or if one has 'Disbiosis', a condition of the digestion system sometimes caused or brought on by taking antibiotics for some prior reason, infection, for instanceAntibiotics kill the bad and the good biotics in the systemSince the good biotics help digest food, they need to be replaced with 'Pro-Biotics'You can get some from a reliable Vitamin supplierThere are foods that supply such helpYogurt that stipulates it contains live cultures - plain - like Dannon; Sauerkraut, and other such thingsTry keeping track of what particular foods cause the worse bloatingSuch as Beans, Pasta, Alcoholic drinks, etcIf it's a food, you might try taking a digestive enzyme formula, also available from a reliable Vitamin HouseSome people have to stop eating certain classes of foodsA gluten intolerance, for instance, would mean you can't eat anything with gluten containing grains, like wheat, rye, etcThat's a whole class of foodsPrepared foods have a lot of added ingredients in them (check the labels)They could have something added that triggers your bloatingTry cooking your food 'from scratch'.that is, from all natural foods, not pre-packaged itemsSometimes constipation causes such bloatingThe longer food takes to get through the digestive track, the more flatulance/gas is producedIf that should be the case with you, you might consider adding some fiberA soluble fiber (found in apples and 'Citrucel') would produce less gas than an insoluble fible (like wheat bran)Also, you may not be drinking enough water To sum up the above: If you are or have been on Antiboitics, try the Pro-Biotic measuresKeep a food diary to know which foods cause the most bloatingTry digestive enzymes when you eat 'suspected' foods.like wheatCorrect constipation with daily fiber and at least 8 glasses of plain water - sodas, coffee or tea, etcdo not count as water.
My late Sister managed itShe had however a concrete balcony, and as soon as Sunset did her business she picked it up She lived in the WalesU.K) She fed her in the kitchen carried her through the apartment and let her play around and as like I said she picked it up asapShe also had Sunset trained to go potty outside when she was able to take herI know that you guys in the US have a lot of wooden balconies, so unless you have a lot of newspaper down to stop anything running through this could be a tough call.
I certainly wouldn't want you living above me if your dog uses balcony as toilet areaYou do know that when you wash the balcony or when it rains all of that pee and poop will run down to all balconies belowTake dog for a walk and train for outdoors same as other people living in apartments do.
