Also, the central ac vent in the living room is dripping a tiny bit of water, what is causing this? It‘s never happened before in the 5 years I‘ve lived in this house. I also noticed the same large copper pipe that goes to the outside unit is wet as well, and it is insulated
Its normal but the attic should be ventilated enough to not allow the condensation to gather; it should have enough outside air moving through there to not allow any heat load gain. The vent dripping water just means that for some reason the vent has some humid air close to it or the duct has some huid air close to it and its running and dripping off. If you get that attic well ventilated there's a good chance both problems could be solved.
