Question:

i have a samsung ln26b360c5d the picture quit working doesnt come on at all but if you push the power button it still does the sound it makes when coming on and the sound it makes when shutting off, i took the back off and there was a fuse blown the board says fm802s 250v/ t2. oah i want to replace the fuse but i dont know wich one to buy seeing as how i cant find any fuse that says that.

Answer:

Any 2 amp 250 volt fuse that fits will work but chances are that some other problem caused the fuse to blow and the replacement will blow also. Good Luck
Samsung Ln26b360c5d
Let me add. The fuse could have blown due to a another defective component. Never put in a generic fuse that is rated higher and of a different type. In doing so the TV will not be properly protected and could cause even more damage and increase the cost of repairing. You will also void a warranty if it's still in effect. A replacement fuse of a lower rating is guaranted to blow and mislead you as too the main cause. Don't just guess at the fuse rating. If a new fuse of the correct rating and type blows, you will know that you have an additional bad component and you need to get it serviced by a qualified tech. I'm guessing that you mean a clicking noise is made when you turn the TV on or off, but it has no sound from the speakers. That being the case you can try replacing the fuse. Be extremely careful doing this, a TV off and unplugged can still have voltages that are very dangerous and can kill. Typically TV's have cartridge fuses of various styles, ratings and even speed. They have identifying number and letters engraved on them. Carefully remove the fuse and take it to a store like Radio Shack. They can interept and identify it, and sell you a new one. Above all be careful.
