I have really strong magnets, what materials can I use to block or shield magnetic fields?
Mumetal works the best, but if you stress it (e.g. my machining or bending it) then it has to be hydrogen fired, which is a pain. Ordinary mild steel works almost as well. Since you obviously don't want to shield the whole thing completely (else what is the point), it is the shape of the air gap rather than the material used that counts.
mumetal is the best material to shield magnetic fields. Buy why get strong magnets only to shield them? .
Other magnets with opposite polarity.
