The 10/22 is a blowback type actionThe bolt doesn't lock, it simply replies on the weight of the bolt and the recoil spring to keep the bolt closed as it firesThat bolt and spring are intentionally designed to counter the recoil force of a standard velocity round generating 130foot pounds of forceThat's why .22 shorts won't cycle the actionThey don't have the power to throw the bolt backA Stinger generates 190ft.lbs of forceThat 190ft lbs of force throws the bolt back 50% harder than the gun was designed to take.and that bolt slams back against the bolt stop pin and those two small holes drilled into the aluminum receiverIn as few as 100 rounds, you'll notice your bolt stop pin gets looser and looser in the hole and eventually, you'll need to drill the hole and buy a larger diam pinFire enough of them and the receiver will crack at those two holesIf you plan to use Stingers, then at the very least buy a urethane recoil buffer and a stronger recoil springIf you plan to use nothing but Stingers, buy a heavier bolt, too.
