If it has nylon webbing, and I assume it does, leaving it out in the winter seems to shorten the webbing's lifespanAlso, the frame may be aluminum, but the nuts and bolts aren't, so they rust faster when exposed to the elementsI've left my chairs out over an Illinois winter, and they don't seem to last as long for the reasons I've given aboveThe ones that I put away in the garage made it for several more years than the ones that didn't.
