There is about 8 children who walk to school. I'm scared to back out my drive way because people drive so fast. Our road is used as a cut though. I 'm not sure who to call.

All handguns from reputable manufacturers will be more accurate than you. The real question is which will you shoot best. Look in Yellow Pages for a gun range that rents handguns. The one near me has a special night where you can try as many as you want for one price. For beginner a revolver is the best option. I'd go for a .357 from Taurus or Smith and Wesson. If you aren't going to carry it concealed a 4 or 6 barrel will be more pleasant and much more accurate than 2. You can shoot .38 from .357 revolvers for less recoil, noise, and blast. For self defense you can load one .38 round and the rest .357 so you get a faster second shot if necessary. The majority of .380 handguns use a design that isn't the most reliable. If you decide on semi-automatic go for one chambered for 9mm Luger.
1) Wear layers to keep warm and prevent Hypothermia. 2) Use extra caution when driving and watch for animals / pedestrians that may be difficult to see. 3) Know your limits; always stay within 3 miles of the nearest populated area as avalaches or sudden bodily malfunctions such as a stroke can occur at any time leaving you helpless and difficult to find in the cold.
