Question:

I need a big cheap dog bed!!!!?

Where can i find a cheap dog bed for a large dog? Beds are so expensive!

Answer:

Go shop the goodwill stores in your area and be creative. I used to get old bed comforters and fold them up for dog beds. Once I scored a few old down pillows, bought some heavy fabric and made a huge dog bed filled with down feathers. I still have it and it's a favorite. Washes well. Cost me about $10, fabric and old pillows.
Walmart, Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, Target.
Costco, Sam's Club, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross and Burlington coat factory.
I like using old blankets and comforters from my house and family. Everyone has them, old stained ones from kids and also when they are just plain ugly. Your dog won't care, plus, they're easier to care for than bought dog beds. You can also check out Good Will, ask if they will save a couple of blankets for you: a lot of times people will donate things that can't be resold based on its condition, you might even get it for free.
From experience on wasting my money on beds, we got a big hard plastic dog basket from a second hand site for cheap and use a blanket folded up to fit in the basket. The blanket is just cotton with a little soft filling so fur does not stick to it and it washes easily. The best part about it is that I can lay it outside, bring it with me anywhere and the dog still knows this as his bed without the basket. Usually the pillow ones I found are too big and get ruined too quickly because they are not easy to wash. I've had the same blanket and basket that 4 dogs now have shared for 8 years. :-)
