Yum!!! We made one yesterday on the smoker, if you have a covered grill, use mesquite chips on the coals (soak the mesqite chips in water) to add flavorMake sure it's fat side upPoke holes in ii periodically and the fat juices will marinate the ham, it does not dry it out, eitherIf nothing else use oranges, they make an excellent glazeSlice and place on ham the same way you would with pineappleThis sounds like a homework question:-)
Sorry about your dilema- Try these sites and see if this helps Trying the aluminun foil in a pan should be okay- I'd put some type of moisture- water- in thereTry the sitesGOOD LUCK and take care!
bum some glaze material from your sister or neighborsdo you have anywhere to cook it? it's awful hot weather to be cooking indoors.i think the best thing to do is to put in the freezer until you get stuff and cook it at night, when its not so hot.listen to your dad on this one.i know best??
Is it a cooked ham? or fresh shoulder picnic pork roast? .If it's a fresh roast, you can dry rub with chili powder, garlic powder, Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning, oregano paprika and slow-roast at 300-325 (tightly covered with foil) for 9-10 hours (maybe even longer).then shred it and mix with BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwichesOf course, if you have a smoker, that's the very best way to do it .If it's a pre-cooked ham, you can just heat it upOrange juice (or any other juice) would work as a light baste.
