i am bidding on an old mini in desperate need of restoration and i need a list of tools that would be required to get the job doneif anyone has restores a car before, could they please let me know a list of all the tools that are requiredthanks in advance
I'm assuming you mean a pre-BMW type Mini, you will therefore need an Imperial socket set and spanners (as opposed to the modern Metric sizes) These are graded in size from 7/16 to something like 1 1/2 A Haynes Workshop manual will come in very useful, both for telling you how to do the jobs and listing the tools requiredAlso, a pair (or two) of sturdy axle stands and a hydraulic trolley jack will prove invaluableIf you are intending to do any work on the engine/gearbox unit, an engine lifting crane would help to get the unit out, as there is next to no room under the bonnet to do any serious work!
