I need a machine that I can use/store in my home or garage that can grind crystals into a fine dust. I know this sounds weird, but I am business owner dealing with Natural Medicine/Holistic Treatments and am going to be using this dust for a certain product.Thank you!
One type of quartz tube is referred to as a quartz cuvette rather than a tube although it functions much like a test tube in that it is designed to contain a liquid. The quartz cuvette is used in spectrophotometry because it can be used in both the visible and UV spectrum. Spectrophotometry, a valuable analytic tool, is able to determine what substances are present in a target solution and exactly how much (the concentration) through calculations of observed wavelengths.
Quartz tubes are used when glass is too low melting for use. Quartz tubes figure prominently in production of silicon semiconductors, in surface oxidation and high-temperature dopant introduction by diffusion. Another use is in the Marsh test, where a piece of a victim's tissue...usually thre stomach...is reacted with arenic-free zinc and dilute sulfuric acid. If there is arsenic present, the arsine (AsH3) produced can be detected as a metal mirror when the quartz tube through which the gas passes, by heating the quartz tube to leave arsenic and hydrogen, which escapes. This test isdifinitive for arsenic poisoning.
